If you want to see Eliza's first "professional" picture check out the picture the hospital took. It'll be on their site for 30 days.

My first snuggle...

We are parents!

Proud parents ready to escape from the hospital room!

She has arrived!!!!! Eliza Ruth Moody was born Saturday, August 23rd, at 10:51 am. She weighed 8 pounds even and was 20 and 1/2 inches long! We love all her dark hair...and there's a lot of it! We went to the hospital about 11:30 pm Friday night and when we showed up I was dilated to a 7! The nurse did what had to be done quickly so I could get that epidural asap. A couple hours later I was dilated to a 9...almost a 10. But for reasons unknown to us, our delivery was put on hold. So I "rested" for a couple of hours until my doctor was done performing a c-section and we had the attention of some nurses. So with a VERY patient husband and mom, I pushed for a couple hours and she finally made her presence into the world! Everything was great health wise for her. I had to be monitored just a little more to make sure my temperature and such were alright. So we left the hospital Monday morning about noon and are trying to figure out this new responsibility at home. I couldn't have done half of what I did had my amazing husband not been there through it all! And he even watched! And cut the cord...he's a pretty proud Papa. And my wonderful Mother too...who some how stayed awake after flying in from vacation in Ohio only a couple hours before. Our adventure has begun...

Taking advantage of doing nothing!

After spending some vacation time in Florida we joined some of the Moodys in Sandpoint, Idaho. We had a great house on Lake Pend Oreille. We spent the week in the water, visiting, eating, relaxing, having fires, and enjoying family. We got to see an awesome firworks display on the fourth and went to Silverwood for a day. It was a great vacation and a wonderful way to relax with family!

Busy summer!

Epcot...we're in France...Eiffel tower behind us! Elayna and Darran in front of the Rockin' Roller Coaster.
Animal Kingdom...with the Tree of Life behind us.
Darran on the Safari Ride.

We've had a fun and busy summer. When school let out we joined Lori's parents and sister Elayna on a trip to Florida. We love Disneyworld! Of course it was the first time that I got to experience what it's like to watch everyone else ride the rides...but I had a great time! We spent most of our time at the parks...Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Blizzard Beach. And no trip to Florida would be complete without a classic thunder and lightening storm. Thank goodness we weren't at a park during that downpour! Now we've officially turned Darran into a "Disneyworld Expert." He knows his way around, knows how to work the crowds, and most importantly understands why we all have cravings for pineapple ice cream and turkey legs! And of course has a new appreciation for Bear Country, the Hall of the Presidents, and Small World! Darran, Dad, and Elayna took advantage of fast passes and any ride the could. In fact, Darran and Elayna rode Rockin' Roller Coaster 4 times! (Andy and Dallin now have competition!)

Any moment now...

My goal was to join the blogging world before our baby comes...and since that is now getting closer and closer I thought I might as well get a jump on it. We are expecting a baby girl! Her due date is August 25th but our doctor says it could be any time! We are thrilled to see her soon but are waiting patiently!
