Soccer skills...

This is so Aunt Elayna can see that Eliza's not wasting anytime working on her athletic skills...not that her dad has anything to do with that! We couldn't resist going outside today cause it was gorgeous!

Piano practice...

We got a piano for Christmas and it's safe to say that Eliza has had the most practice time on it. She quickly gets bored with the song that she is playing though so it's not uncommon to see her flipping through the book looking for that perfect song.

Here's to hoping she enjoys the piano just as much in a couple of years!

Choo! Choo!

Eliza has been enjoying Daddy's geotrax lately. I couldn't resist laughing at this picture. She precariously placed herself underneath and inside of the track so she could have the best spot to control the trains. Always the thinker...

Weekend away...

We spent Martin Luther King weekend with the Washington Moodys. Unfortunately we didn't take that many pictures...probably because most of the time was spent reading and playing games (which we love). But we did enjoy the snow the first day before most of it melted away. Daddy and Eliza got in some good sledding.
If you couldn't find Eliza, she was probably sneaking into her cousin's Polly pocket toys. She was amazed by each little toy she found and relished in the fact that they had no idea what she was up to!
She sure did love the time that she got to spend with her silly, loving cousins. We are grateful that they love her so much!

For Aunt Audrey...

Audrey...I've been meaning to post this so you could see when Eliza opened our Christmas gift from you. Ignore my voice...I had a fun cold. Love ya!

Table set for...many!

In an attempt to hone in "busy-ness" and make dinner without a small body clinging to my leg, Eliza has a kitchen cabinet all her own, complete with her dishes. Little did I know that the very first time she had access to it would she take it upon herself to set the table. I was pretty amazed that she would think to do that and then continue to set the table with ALL her dishes.
When she realized that I was taking pictures of her she decided she needed to put on a show. Not quite sure how you transition from setting the table to this!?

Family Time!

With the holidays over and time to reflect on the past year we sure do feel blessed to have spent so much valuable time with those we love. We love our family...we missed you Audrey!
We love you Uncle Andy and Aunt Julie! Thanks for coming home from sunny, warm Florida! We'll miss you!
Eliza already misses you Aunt Elayna! Thanks for being such a loving, fun Aunt!
Eliza misses you too Uncle Dallin! Good luck at school...we love you!
And to the blessing we love the most...you are a wonderful, beautiful daughter Eliza! Thank you for making your mommy and daddy so happy! We couldn't love you more!!!

Happy New Year!

We had some pretty interesting weather on New Year's Eve day. We had snow and later freezing rain but we got out and enjoyed the snow a little bit with Eliza. Snow kisses!
She loved this little sled we got for her. Especially when I took her for a ride to check the mail and we passed all the houses with their Christmas lights.
Daddy and the little sledder...she looks so big in this picture! How do they grow up so fast!?
I believe this is Eliza making her monkey sounds instead of posing for the picture.
Everyone came over to our house for the New Year's Eve celebration. We played games, ate lots of food...
tried to stay awake...
...and played lots of Wii!
Happy New Year!
And what did we do on New Year's Day? Eliza watched almost as much football as daddy, ate some more, played some more Wii, and worked on a puzzle.
Here's to the end of 2009...welcome 2010!
