Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  2018!!

Started off the day with pancakes, eggs, and sausage...ended it with mom's traditional ham and black eyed peas for good luck!

 We got in some more sledding!

 Explored the ice!

 And made the trek down to the lake!

There was of course game playing...and being silly with phones!

New Year's Eve!

On New Year's Eve we celebrated Ella turning 1!!!

 Happy Birthday Ella!

 Poor Lydia had a nasty cough and was kind of quarantined to her room.  But she turned the corner and was able to have some fun too!

 We played games...

 ate snow cones...

 and played with sparklers in 10 degree cold!

These older kids stayed awake till about 10pm, mom, Andy, and Julie turned in early, but Dad, Darran, and I held strong and stayed up till midnight...kind of.  We were in the middle of Ticket to Ride so we didn't realize it had turned 12:00 till after the fact!  Either way it's always a fun way to spend New Year's Eve!

Cocolalla for the New Year!

We left an icy Tri-Cities to head up to snow filled Cocolalla on the 29th.  Two weeks previous to this we didn't think we'd have any snow and then all of a sudden there was a ton!  This year we tried the road for a sledding hill.  It worked really well considering the amount of snow we had to try to walk through any where else!
