Let it snow!

Though the snow would have been better a few days ago on Christmas, it was kind of exciting to wake up to the white stuff this morning. Eliza and I went outside for a little while...I was pleasantly surprised when she let me bundle her all up. And she looked too cute to not take a picture!
Sometimes though, she's a little too independent. She decided she needed to go visit the neighbors who weren't home. But I'm glad to see she's mobile in all her snow gear!

Merry Christmas!

Our pictures unfortunately don't really show what a wonderful Christmas day we had! Eliza was so much fun to watch open presents and get excited about them...no matter what they were! She was pretty excited about her new slide and had a fun time "breaking it in!"
Christmas morning before the unwrapping frenzy took place. Eliza was already eating the cereal she found in her stocking!
In our Christmas pajamas...thanks Aunt Audrey! We love them...and Eliza was so cute all day!
Eliza loves her new chair from Grandpa and Grandma Hague.
Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas Eve!

We spent Christmas Eve with the Moody side of the family...eating dinner, acting out the nativity, and exchanging gifts. I should have taken a picture of Sarah's house because it was beautifully festive! Eliza always loves spending time with her cousins...and thankfully they love it too! Here are Alissa and Eliza getting some serious coloring done before dinner!
A happy girl on a happy night! Merry Christmas Eve!
Mary, baby Jesus and Joseph together for a picture.
The merry cousins after exchanging gifts...thanks Kaden! Eliza loves her new toys!
Santa showed up at our house right before Eliza went to bed. She was fine looking at him from a distance but wasn't too excited when Daddy wanted to get a picture up close!

Happy Birthday Elayna!

Elayna came home from BYU on her birthday so we got to celebrate together. We love you Aunt Elayna! Happy Birthday! Eliza always loves a reason to eat cake!

A little help...

Everyone needs a little help at some point...even Santa. Eliza is there for him if......he needs a hug,
...or a nap,
...or a ride in the car if his sleigh breaks down,
...or even a diaper change! (Notice she got out the wipes and a diaper just for Santa.) Santa will always be able to find what he needs at our house!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Eliza may not be too excited about actually meeting or getting close to Santa... ...but she does know what he says, so we have to give her some credit!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!

Oh, Christmas Tree...

We've adopted the Hague family tradition of a tree decorating party. Darran's quote of the night was, "This is my favorite dinner in the month of December!" The party consists of eating yummy foods like sandwiches, chips, veggies, fruit, egg nog, sparkling cider and, of course, the rice krispie Christmas tree.
And then we decorate the tree! Eliza liked handing Daddy the balls for him to put on the tree. And she's only taken off one ornament during our first full day of having the tree up...not bad!

Around the house...

Mommy and Eliza doing some serious Christmas browsing!
Daddy trying to see how static Eliza's hair could be...the picture doesn't do justice. It was pretty crazy!

Happy Birthday Darran!

Darran celebrated another birthday on Friday! We sang Happy Birthday and ate some mud pie.
Eliza helped Daddy open his presents.
And even though this didn't take place on the actual day of his birthday it's one of the things he loves to do most! Some relaxing time in the hot tub.

Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you so much! Thank you for being such an amazing dad and husband!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our turkey day went something like this... A family game of football...
...including Eliza (Daddy giving her instructions in the huddle).
It was a competitive game but smiles and hugs all around afterwards...that's what makes a happy family right?
A scrumptious turkey dinner! That always seems to take mom hours to prepare but only a few minutes to eat! Ahhh, but it was delicious...with lots of leftovers!
Putting together a puzzle...with Eliza's help (whether they wanted it or not)!
Relaxing...
...and spending time with family. Eliza and Aunt Elayna are quite the buddies.

Eliza spent a lot of her time showing off her new talents...and even learning a few more!

Cousin Time...

A weekend with the nieces and nephews always warrants some quality cousin hot tubbing! Darran joined them...for he never passes up an opportunity for a soak in the tub.
Personally, I feel like this picture says it all...(we'll start from left to right)
Emma - the face of contentment...she's in her happy place,
Darran - never takes an eye off his daughter...can we say "wrapped around the finger"...YES!
Eliza - umm...put her in the water and watch out (Elayna, an even crazier "crazy Eliza" comes out...if you can believe that!)
Kaden - the face of determination...he will defeat that water!
Ethan - the face of relaxation...it's hard to be in 4th grade...trust us, he told us all about it!
Man, we love these kids!

Fall time!

Darran raked up the leaves we had in our yard on Saturday...which meant pile of leaves! Bailey and Mason came over and played with Eliza for awhile.
She had a blast in the leaves!
She thought it was hilarious when Bailey and Mason would throw the leaves onto her head.
Quite the grin!

One size fits all...

Eliza loves finding her shoes when it's time for us to go somewhere. This has transitioned to enjoying finding shoes at anytime and then attempting to walk in them. Saturday morning she found mom's boots, and with a little help got herself into them. These were one of the more difficult pairs to walk in...but she still liked it!

Happy Halloween!

We had a Happy Halloween yesterday and Eliza really seemed to enjoy it. She caught on to collecting candy pretty fast! First she went trick-or-treating at Nana and Papa's house...
...then Grandpa and Grandma's house.
On our way home we thought it was awfully quiet in the back seat...till we turned around and found this! She took that chocolate bar right out of her bag and didn't let the wrapper stop her. Chocolate everywhere and one happy girl!
But Eliza's favorite part was that she figured out the fastest way to accumulate candy was to take it right from the bowl...
...and place it in her bag. No need to go door to door when you can just do that! But daddy did take her to a few houses so she had the "true experience!"
Happy Halloween everybody!

Carving Pumpkins...

The Price Family came over last night to carve pumpkins with us.
Here are the finished products in the dark. I think it's funny how you can tell which ones were done by the boys and which ones were done by the girls!
Eliza had to check them out the next day to decide what she really thought. I think they passed her test!

...And this was her reaction to taking out the pumpkin guts - maybe next year she'll actually touch them!

Baby Ally

We went to Portland this weekend for baby Ally's blessing (and some shopping on the side). She is an adorable, very sweet baby! We feel blessed to have spent the day with them. Eliza had loads of fun playing with Keith and Cole...especially on their fun little slide.
This was the best picture we could get of the "girls." Unfortunately, Eliza's tiredness was beginning to show! Thanks Darc and Brent for the fun weekend! We love your family so much!

Busy Body...

Ever the growing busy body, Eliza is keeping us on our toes! Aside from running around the house like crazy here are a few more things she's been doing... She has always loved books. However, lately her attention span lasts just long enough for her to bring you a book, open it, look at 2 or 3 pages, and then go get another one. And of course, when you are a big girl you have to sit in the big chair!
Darran couldn't resist a picture on Sunday of is half dressed daughter. He was cracking up when she began running around after only taking off her dress. Thus hair still in pony tails, onsie with with sleeves cut off (hey, it just works better with her dresses), her little bottoms, and then church socks of course. Oh well, this picture is much more cute than if I had taken one with Darran wearing his Sunday attire...T-shirt, shorts, and black church socks. Why can't boys change their socks on Sunday? It's not like they do the laundry! :)

And when the weather starts to turn and mom isn't feeling well, you bring the outside in, right? Our neighbors gave us their Cozy Coupe and Eliza adores it! She sets up her own little drive-in...sits in the car and watches a little TV. We just love her to pieces!
