Bath time!
We have discovered that Eliza LOVES her baths...especially having her hair washed. She is mesmerized by the sound of running water. We've gone from wash cloth baths to sink baths since her cord has fallen off. But what we love the most is afterwards snuggling with that clean, sweet smelling baby! And I love curling her little mohawk! (That's in honor of her aunt Elayna!)

First trip to the temple
On Sunday night (August 31st) we had the privilege of taking Eliza to the temple for the first time. My Grandpa Hague (Eliza's great grandpa) was set apart as a temple sealer. He was able to invite family members to be part of that experience...including Eliza. So we joined him and other family members in the temple. We went into the waiting room in the front of the temple since some of our family is not yet endowed. But just the fact that we got to take our new baby, who just so recently was with her Heavenly Father, to His house so soon was a choice experience. She didn't make a peep the whole time and the spirit was so strong. Grandpa was blessed with the opportunity to some day seal some of his own posterity...Pres. Tingey wouldn't promise he would be able to seal Eliza but...you never know! We are so excited and proud of this new calling that Grandpa and Grandma have. We know that Grandpa will do a wonderful job!
Why is daddy yelling?
Dad listened to the BYU football game on Saturday and got a little frustrated in the third quarter when he heard fumble after fumble. You BYU football fans can sympathize. That was Eliza's first introduction to Dad's "football personality!" She wasn't quite sure what to think so she spent most of the game covering her ears! And football season is just beginning!
Hague cradle
When I was born a friend of my parents made them a cradle with our last name on it. Now that cradle is on loan to us from Grandpa and Grandma Hague so that Eliza can sleep downstairs sometimes too. Pretty exciting to know that one day I slept in the same cradle that my daughter is now sleeping in. And she loves it...especially when she is all wrapped up in her blankets!
Lots of love!
We've been so grateful to the amount of help and love that we have felt from family and friends! Eliza has brought such joy to our new little family. We may be a little tired but we sure are counting our blessings that she is a happy and healthy baby. Thanks Nana and Papa for the flowers! They were beautiful!
