One week old...

Talia has now been with us for a week...hard to believe we were in the hospital just seven short days ago. Things are going very well for us as we adjust to being a family of four! Upon closer examination of this picture I had to laugh...not only am I holding my two beautiful daughters but I also have the tv remote in hand ready to go. In my defense I believe we were going to watch Eliza's new Clifford movie that Talia gave her!
Eliza and Talia with their matching car pajamas...and of course with two of their most favorite people!
She has been a very good sleeper so far...I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it continues!
Big sister Eliza getting some work done while Talia sleeps.
My attempt at taking a picture of her...the girl is always squirming around!

Talia Brooke Moody!

Talia Brooke Moody is here! She arrived on Monday night September 13th at 11:20 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19.25 inches long. The delivery was a success and we're home safe and sound! Here are a few pictures to get us started...hopefully we'll post more soon! Proud mom and dad with baby Talia.
Eliza quickly showed Talia the joy of reading books.
Mommy and Eliza enjoying some of Grandma Great's homemade cookies!

Trying to stay warm after her bath.
We made it home and the first thing Eliza wanted to do was hold Talia! Such a good big sister!
Our new family of 4...just beginning our new adventure together!

Our lion cub...

One of Eliza's new phrases lately has been to say that things scare her. Well, needless to say we were a bit frightened this morning when we found her with a massive lion's mane on her head! As we put her to bed Saturday night we both commented that Sunday morning was going to be interesting hair wise. It always is when we bathe her and put her to bed with wet hair.
But this morning takes the cake. She even added a roar for good measure!

Last week of summer...

Before school started again we took advantage of the last week of summer and joined Dean, Sarah, the girls, and Nana and Papa up at the lake house for a few days. Bella, Eliza, and Darran getting in some good kayaking...it would appear this was just a joy ride for Darran!
Eliza loves the boat and could spend all summer on it! Too bad our summer this year came so late and is ending so early!
Alissa and Dean were the official fishermen of the week. They were catching fish after fish!
Dad and Darran took the kayak out for a spin too.
And Eliza was just as content as could be playing in the sand and playing with her cousins. She adores them and has such a great time with each of them. Thanks for a fun couple of days Moody cousins!

Birthday Girl!

This is how we found Eliza on her true birthday when Darran came home from work. She had a little bit of a runny nose so it was only appropriate that she had put her pajama pants on (by herself) over her shorts and was laying in mom and dad's bed (eating cereal). When you don't feel well you have to make yourself comfy right? Before Eliza turned 2 on the 23rd of August we had a little celebration with Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Elayna since they had to head down to Provo for school.
We had dinner and Eliza opened her presents...it was so fun to see how excited she got about each one.
In fact, it was hard to move on to opening another one when each one needed to be played with first!
After presents we went swimming for a while and then came home and had cupcakes. A dream night for the birthday girl!
On her actual birthday we had Papa and Nana come over for dinner and Eliza got to open more presents! Her friends Bailey and Mason came over for cake and she soaked up the birthday attention!
We just can't believe she's already 2! These last couple of years have flown by but we love our little Eliza! She brings such joy to our family with her smile and energy. We love you so much Eliza! Happy Birthday!

Corn on the cob...

Eliza has discovered corn on the cob... ...and she likes it!
She's figuring out all the ways to attack it.
She knows what's good!

Hague Family Reunion

All my siblings were able to gather together in Cocolalla for a Hague family reunion. It was wonderful to have everyone together for a few days. We spent lots of time out on the water and relaxing...just how a vacation should be. There's always stiff competition on the tubes when we get together. I lived vicariously through their tubing and watched many jumps and spills. My siblings have always put on a good show when it comes to tubing!
Eliza relaxed in the hammock...or swing as she liked to call it.
And learned how to kayak! This picture cracks me up...not only can you see how serious Darran is about teaching Eliza what to do but it would appear she is being the perfect student!
We were so excited to finally get her to go on it...it's taken some time. But she enjoyed our little ride and even helped me paddle some of the time.
Our attempt at a family picture...this was the cutest one of Eliza.
The whole family together.
The "original" Hague family.
The brothers and sisters...maybe how we truly are?
...and then posed nicely!
Playing some cards while waiting for our foil dinners to cook. This was supposed to be a serious picture...as you can see, I'm not very good at that!
A beautiful picture of a beautiful time!
2 things Eliza can't get enough of...grandma and the boat!
We even had Grandpa and Grandma Great Hague join us for a few days and took them for a ride around the lake.
Dora's got nothing on this backpack...Eliza loved carrying her sand toys back and forth from the house. She was quite the trooper walking back and forth on her own.
If Eliza hadn't convinced someone to go in the water with her then you would most likely find her playing in the sand. She LOVES Cocolalla!
And we loved our reunion! Hope everyone had as good a time as we did. We love you all!

Fun in the sun!

We left town on this infamous boat race weekend (as we usually do...how long have we lived here and NEVER been to the races?) to soak up some sun and visit some family. My Aunt Tami and Uncle Pepe brought their girls to Washington for awhile so we met Grandpa and Grandma Great up at the house and spent two days on the water. Darran did some exploring on the kayak...
...and then let Eliza have a ride.
Later they went out together looking for fish...it took awhile but we think she finally saw some!
Eliza and Grandma spent some time making sand castles.
And our eagle friend enjoyed a fish up in one of the trees. He was literally right above us so Darran got some awesome close up pictures.
Eliza loves being on the boat...she spends her time telling Grandpa how to drive. Ready, set, go...and faster, faster! She also shows a lot of concern by asking those who have fallen in the water if they are ok...and keeps asking until there is a response!
And even though Daddy couldn't talk her in to braving a tube ride yet (much to my relief), they enjoyed riding on the boat until Daddy took his turn.
Elayna, Darran, and Courtney (Elayna's good friend) out for one last ride on the tubes before calling it a day.
