BYU at Notre Dame!

Darran headed to Illinois and Indiana earlier this month for a BYU football game and a baby blessing.
He flew out on Friday and then Saturday caught up with family to go to the College Football Hall of Fame before the BYU game.
Dad enjoying the Hall of Fame.
Darran, Dean, Derek, Dallan, and Dad excited for the game! A bunch of football lovin' Moodys!
The entire gang...Bro. and Sis. Cropper (Shantal's parents), Shantal and baby Eleanor, Amelia and Jon (Darran's cousin), Dallan, Derek, Darran, Dean, Ek, and Dad.
Derek, Dallan, and Dad being sardines in the back of the car!
Happy parents!  Shantal, Eleanor, and Derek...can't wait to meet her in person!
 Notre Dame's campus.

Darran, Dean, Jon (yes, that's really his hair...colored blue), and Derek...soaking in the ambiance.
Isn't this tree beautiful? Darran says this picture doesn't do justice to how loud and exciting it was to be there in person!  Though we lost, Darran still had a great time at a football game with family...pretty much a dream Saturday for him!

Disney on Ice...

We surprised the girls by taking them to Disney on Ice...and had SO MUCH FUN!  We told them we had a surprise but wouldn't tell them what it was.  When we got there they were extremely excited!
Daddy and Eliza...too happy to look at the camera.
Mommy and Talia...too wiggly to get a clear picture...but also excited!
The show was very good...we were quite impressed.  They skated shorter versions of the Tiana, Cinderella, and Rapunzel stories.  The girls were so intrigued the entire time!  In between each story Micky, Minnie, Donald and Goofy came out and were part of the show...that was probably Talia's favorite part.  And Eliza's favorite part had to be at the end when ALL the princesses and their princes came skating out.  We weren't expecting that so we were pretty surprised.  It was an outstanding night spent with our princess loving girls!

Our turtle friend...

We frequent the library, its park, and its pond/garden area.
We've checked on this guy a lot since the spring...and boy has he grown!  Usually we find him in the water...
...but the girls were so excited to see him out sunbathing on the rocks right in front of them!  It took all their self control not to reach out and touch him!

Painting pumpkins...

Eliza and Talia found some white pumpkins at the pumpkin patch and decided they needed some paint!
So they painted their pumpkins...pink, purple, blue and red of course!

Pumpkin Patch!

Eliza's preschool went to the Pumpkin Patch and Talia and I got to tag along!
Olivia and Eliza in the Pumpkin Patch.
Tal was so excited to find her own pumpkin.
Olivia and Eliza searching for the perfect pumpkin.
These sisters are just too cheesy sometimes!  Eliza was posing and Talia tried to copy.
The girls jumped in the cart for a ride with the pumpkins...
...and then decided to pull the cart themselves to the car.
We love celebrating the fall by spending time at the pumpkin patch!

Putting sister first...

Eliza's tummy was bothering her one night.  Sweet sister Talia helped find some blankets for her, brought her a princess for company, and then sat down next to the couch to read her some stories.  It makes my heart melt when they take care of each other!

High School Football!

We went to the Kamiakin football game on October 5th.  Taking a picture of these two sometimes seems impossible.  Although Darran should be proud...they seem to be more focused on the game than the camera!  We had a good time even though our alma mater lost.  And Eliza thought the cheerleaders were outstanding!

More San Francisco...

 The streets of San Francisco.
Cable cars at the top of Lombard Street.
Half way down Lombard Street...the crookedest street.
 And...from the bottom of Lombard.
View of Alcatraz in the back ground.
 Fisherman's Wharf...
...and Pier 39 (stinky Pier 39).
Another view of Alcatraz from Pier 39.  It was a little bit windy.
 Alcatraz
After our tour of the city we went to dinner and then headed to the San Francisco Giants game.
Us in front of the Willie Mays statue.
AT&T Park...and a sold out crowd.  We're not really used to that being Mariner fans!
Darran is always in heaven at a baseball game!
And we even got to ride a cable car...sort of!  There was one that people were sitting in watching the game.  I'd say Sarah is a little more enthusiastic than me!

San Francisco!

This past week Darran and I got to go to San Francisco for a few days!  The girls got to spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma while we were gone.
We left early Tuesday morning and after we arrived we went straight to the Owens Corning Insulation plant.  They gave us a tour of the plant which was much more fascinating than I had anticipated!  (This picture is Darran with a cable car behind him...we didn't take any pictures at the plant.)
Then we drove through Stanford's campus and had lunch nearby.  After that we headed to San Francisco and our hotel.  Our hotel was a block away from Union Square where we found these hearts with different pictures of San Francisco.
We did some browsing and a little shopping before heading to dinner and then back to the hotel for the night.
Unfortunately, it wasn't the best night for Darran since he spent half of it throwing up.  But he was a trooper the next day and headed out to sight see with us.
We decided to do a double decker bus tour of the city in hopes of seeing a lot of sights quickly.  And we did!  Yet still managed to walk about 15 miles that day too!
Dean and Sarah on top of the bus waiting to go!
The capital building.  We also drove right past the church that feeds and houses hundreds of homeless...it is where the movie Pursuit of Happiness was filmed.
When we headed over to the Golden Gate Bridge we could not believe what a drastic change the weather took!
 It was FREEZING!
Sarah, Dean, and me...smiling but trying to stay warm!

Camping time!

Darran took the girls camping...in the backyard!
Eliza and Talia helped daddy set up the tent.  When I looked out in the backyard and saw that Darran even had his camping back pack out there I had to laugh.  Later I learned that Eliza insisted he bring it out there!
Eliza had been so excited to sleep in a tent with daddy.  I have to admit that I had my doubts but she impressed me!
We roasted smores...on the bbq!

Daddy read books with the girls...
...and then it was time for bed!  Talia and I headed back inside while Daddy and Eliza told stories and looked at the stars.  Happy camping!
