Visit from Grandmother Moody!

We got to have a special visit from Grandmother Moody this weekend...who by the way turns 90 this Spring and is wearing a BYU sweatshirt!  The Moody family is full of loyal fans!
Saturday night we got together at Nana and Papa's for dinner, games, and visiting.
And to spend time with cousins!  Talia, Arabella, and Eliza.
Sunday night we gathered at our house for dinner and more visiting.
We were so happy to have some time to spend with Grandmother.  She is one very special lady...we love you Grandmother!

Princess Tea Party...

Eliza has been dying to have a tea party...so on a day off of school that's what we did.
She set everything up while I made the food.  Then they needed to watch an episode of Sofia where she hosts a tea party as they ate.  Looking back...I think that was just a ploy to allow them to watch some TV!  Cheers!

Passing the time...

What to do to pass the time when sister goes to school?
Get comfy and read some good books...
...and work on that Christmas list!  (She's circling what she wants from this add...at least she's also circling things that Eliza and Brayden would probably want too...so thoughtful!)

New car!

After driving this for some time now I realized I hadn't mentioned anything about it on the blog.
This is our newest addition to the family...until the human addition comes in February!  I absolutely love it!  Here's to a growing family!

Disney on Ice...

The night after Halloween we went to see Disney on Ice.
The girls were SOOO excited.  We had surprised them last year when we took them but this time it was Eliza's idea to go.  So they were prepared...princess dresses and all!

This was as close to a picture as we could get of Talia...at least she's happy!

The show included Belle, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Merida.

We can't seem to get enough of Disney princesses in our house!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun, candy filled Halloween this year.
 Eliza was Tinkerbell...
 ...and Talia was Cinderella.
They were so excited to be all dressed up!
 Ready for some trick-or-treating!
First stop...the Price's.  These kiddos have been trick-or-treating at each other's houses since Bailey was a baby...good memories!
 Next stop...Nana and Papa's.
Their doorbell had different Halloween sounds so the girls had a good time pushing the doorbell...a lot!
Last but not least...Grandpa and Grandma's...and to see Brayden!  Doesn't Grandpa look awesome!?  In between grandparent's houses we went to our ward party for dinner, games, and the trunk-or-treat.  Talia was begging for someone else to carry her bag by the end of the night...but she wouldn't fathom getting rid of any of that precious loot!
Happy Halloween!

Carving pumpkins!

We carved pumpkins for family home evening...the pumpkins from our garden!  Fun!
Talia quite enjoyed pulling out the guts for her pumpkin.
 Eliza...not so much.
The girls with their pumpkins...Eliza carved Tinkerbell, Daddy a Y, and Talia carved Mickey Mouse.
 Silly girls.
 Sitting out on the porch...
...and in the dark.
I usually get a little bit more sentimental and carve a good old fashioned jack-o-lantern.  Sadly, not this year...Mickey Mouse wore me out!
Happy Carving!

Beautiful weather!

October has been an amazingly sunny, warm month...and we have loved it!
One day the girls decided to read books on the swing set...that is until a bee started bothering them!  But it was sweet while it lasted.

Sunday rest...

Daddy's favorite part about Sunday.  This doesn't happen very often anymore but Talia wouldn't miss nursery for anything.  Which makes 1:00 church a little tough on her so she usually crashes when we get home.  And on this particular Sunday - daddy did too!

School Jog-a-thon...

The week of Eliza's school jog-a-thon they had a spirit week.  She wanted to do something with her hair on crazy hair day.
This is about as "crazy" as our daughter gets - and it took a little convincing!
We went to watch her run for a little while and I have to say we were very impressed!  She worked hard!  She ran 15 laps - which totaled 3 miles!  Looks like we have a future Hero Up runner!
She loves her cousins so she was pretty excited to spend some of her time on the track with Bella!
Way to run Eliza!

Fun weekend...

We had a fun weekend getting some fall work done at Cocolalla and celebrating Audrey's birthday a little early.
We decided to paint the wall before hanging the TV on it.  Having lots of hands made the work go fast!
I was wondering why Darran kept taking pictures of the wall as we were painting...now I see why.  I apparently missed the big Y on the wall while we were in the process!
 Yeah!  So much better!
The highlight of the weekend was celebrating Audrey's birthday (and having Jon home with us made it that much better)!
Happy birthday Audrey...we love you!

Harvest time!

We planted pumpkins in our garden this year.  I wanted to grow some mini pumpkins and gourds to decorate with.  Little did I know what we would end up with!
Talia (with cherry tomatoes in her cheeks) and Eliza in front of our pumpkins.
This was our first haul - it took us 2 days to pick them all!
 Bigger pumpkins.
Gourds, spaghetti squash, some more tomatoes and cantaloupe.
And this was our second haul.  We had about 150 mini pumpkins and about 45 small to larger sized pumpkins.  We seriously had no idea we would get that many but it sure was fun to watch them grow (and take over our garden).  And after giving lots away I still had plenty to decorate with!
Talia and Eliza are always a big help in the garden!
Happy Harvest!
