Anniversary in Hawaii!

Darran and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in February!
And because I have one of the most amazing sisters in the universe we were able to spend a few days in Kauai, Hawaii in January.
Shaved ice was a priority the entire trip!

We took a helicopter ride.  Kauai is such a diverse island you have to see it from above to really appreciate it!

We even flew right over our hotel!
Some of the views we had were just breathtaking.  Keep in mind Darran was taking pictures through the window of the helicopter...but they're still pretty incredible!

We got a quick picture of a waterfall we went to see before we were rushed away by paramedics.  There apparently was someone who needed assistance at the bottom of the falls so they asked everyone to leave the area.

We drove south of our hotel to do some snorkeling.  This guy was just hanging out on the beach soaking up some rays.
The fish didn't care at all that we were in the water!  They swam right around us as if we were just one of them!
We went and saw Spouting Horn just a little further from where we were snorkeling.

And we watched the sun set at night.

Grandkids...

We attempted some pictures while we were at Cocolalla of the grandkids in their new outfits from Grandpa and Grandma.

 Silly pose!
Too bad Eliza and Talia aren't looking at the camera...I love Lydia in this picture.  Giggly girl.

Starting off the New Year!

We rang in the New Year with mom's traditional black eyed peas and rice for good luck!

And the next day (after a good breakfast) we were back out in the snow!
