Aunt Annette's funeral...

Darran's Aunt Annette passed away suddenly on December 8th.  She is Papa's oldest sister.  He flew to Utah to attend the funeral and spend a little time with Nana and Papa (who spent a few days away from their mission to attend the funeral as well).

 We had to tease Nana and Papa about their rental car (not the one they originally picked)!

 Darran, Nana, and Papa all stayed at Dallan and April's house.

Darran said the funeral was very nice.  Annette will be missed greatly.  She was a light to all who knew her.  Surely her reunion with her father and daughter was a joyous one.  How grateful we are for eternal families.

Gingerbread houses...

 We made Gingerbread houses!  Grandma and Grandpa had even found gummy Gingerbread men while they were visiting Jon and Audrey.  They were the perfect addition to the girl's houses!

Nutcracker...

 Eliza, Talia, and I went to see the Nutcracker on December 10th.

It's a fun afternoon with spent with the girls.  We love the music and the dancing is so fun to watch!

I just noticed Talia's shirt in this picture!  Grandpa and Grandma gave it to her and it actually says Italia...but in this picture it looks perfectly like it just says her name!

Ward Christmas breakfast...

Our ward Christmas party was a Polar Express themed breakfast.

 We had yummy food.

 And Eliza and Talia sang with the primary.

Then they got to talk with Santa.

It was a fun way to start our December Saturday morning!

We went and saw all the lights at Senske...in the snow this year!

And we had our picture taken with Santa!

On December 5th Sam turned 1!

We got to help him celebrate!  Seems like we were just meeting him the day he was born!

Visiting Grandpa and Grandma Great...

 Saturday December 3rd we went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Great for awhile.

 Had to get a picture in front of all the stockings!

 Sheila and Chelsea stopped by to say hi for a few minutes.

 We played some games, ate popcorn, and enjoyed visiting together.  Lydia especially was loving to play with Grandma.

Boat parade...

Friday December 2nd we went to the annual Lighted Boat Parade.

We love this tradition!  Puts us in the Christmas spirit!
