On Saturday, October 8th Eliza was baptized!
She was baptized in the same dress that I was! One that Grandma made! She was excited and nervous for the day...but it was great!

She's so grown up and we're so proud of her decision to be baptized.
Her baptism went like this:
Opening song: I'm trying to be like Jesus
Opening prayer: Talia...she got a little nervous before the baptism started because she wasn't sure what to say. But we came up with a few ideas and then she knew what to do. She did a great job!
Talk on Baptism: Mom...I talked about the covenants that she makes at baptism, how she's already doing those things so it won't be hard to continue, and how those covenants are renewed each week when she takes the sacrament.
Darran baptized her...she was worried they would have to do it a second time but they didn't. The water was really warm and she felt pretty happy when she was finished.
Musical number: Her cousins sang When Jesus Christ was baptized and Myanna played the piano.
Talk on the Holy Ghost: Grandma...spoke about how the Holy Ghost helps us and how it can feel different to everyone. She wanted Eliza to learn to recognize how it feels to her and told her that the Holy Ghost can comfort, save, touch hearts, guide us, and will always be there when we choose the right.
Darran confirmed her. Grandpa, Grandpa Great, Andy, Dallin, Chris, Dean, Kevin, Mike Brame, and Bishop Madsen all stood in the circle.
Bishop Madsen welcomed her to the ward.

After the baptism everyone came over to our house for dinner. Some stayed and watched the BYU football game. It was a fun evening visiting with family.
