Happy Thanksgiving!

We had Thanksgiving dinner with Lori's family. Thanks to mom for yet another wonderful Thanksgiving meal. It was a nice, relaxing day with lots of eating, napping, football, and cards. We loved spending it with Great Grandpa and Grandma Hague too. We spent some time with the Moodys over the holiday too but for some reason forgot to take pictures! But we were glad to spend some time with Derek and Shantal and Dustin's family.
Dad's turn to eat...and then mom's!
Notice in both pictures Eliza preferred to stare at the food not the camera! Sorry no turkey this year...maybe next year!

Happy Birthday Darran!

Although celebrating birthdays isn't one of Darran's favorite things to do this one wasn't half bad since he had Eliza to share it with. Since his birthday was on Thanksgiving Day he and I kind of celebrated the weekend before. We went and saw Children of Eden on Friday night and then Saturday morning went out to breakfast and then watched lots of football. Then on his birthday we celebrated with turkey and all the trimmings! Another birthday, another year older!

3 months old!

We decided to get Eliza an early Christmas present...a Bumbo. We figured she could use it now instead of waiting until Christmas...and she seems to agree. She will be three months old on Sunday and LOVES to sit up but still needs a little help. She was even playing on her stomach the other night with Darran and rolled over! Most likely not on purpose but I was sad I missed it! I had just run upstairs for a second...but that's as long as it takes for her to discover something new! She is changing and growing sooo fast!

Ready to go!

All bundled up and ready to go! Although...Eliza is starting to make it known that putting on a jacket and sitting in a car seat are not on her list of favorite things to do. But she's just to darn cute in her little bear jacket!

Saturday football!

Nothing makes dad happier than watching a BYU football game win with Eliza. We think that she is their good luck charm since they've won every game she has watched in her BYU shirt. Really that only totals 3 games but we'll help BYU out any way we can!

Fall is here...

Darran was really excited to use his leaf blower today. I had to admit I had my doubts of how necessary that really would be, but he proved me wrong and got a substantial amount of our neighbor's leaves in a pile. So we decided to take some pictures of Eliza in her first leaf pile...she would even grab a couple of the leaves to hold on to. Unfortunately, we can't really tell how much she liked it since we couldn't quite get a smile from her.

A few words...

Eliza has an opinion...of what we're not sure, but she likes to make her voice known. And when we have "conversations" she is always sure to fit in a little fist sucking too! We're just praying that doesn't turn into thumb sucking!

Soooo snuggly...

Darran accuses me of snuggling too much...I'm guilty (and he's jealous). She's just too irresistible! And he takes advantage of snuggle moments when he can too!

Smiley faces!

We caught a couple of Eliza's cute smiley faces before taking her out of her car seat when we got home from church today. We just can't get enough of her sweet smiles...they light up our world!

Fun with the train!

On Friday night we watched our favorite little neighbors Bailey and Mason. At Bailey's request Darran was put in charge of making a "big" train track. Every year he gets an addition to his train set (thanks to his role model Jarom!) so he's always excited for an excuse to play. In fact, he's already asking what part he will be getting this Christmas. So here is a picture of their hard work (Eliza did a good job of directing from her swing). That's one awesome train track

Ode to Halloween

3 little Moodys enjoy Halloween night.
It’s Eliza’s first one, oh what a fright!
A pumpkin she would be with little socks and matching hat.
She even got some candy, which just makes her parents fat!
Between a ghost and pumpkin she sits a little while,
As the trick-or-treaters pass and add to their candy pile.
Some pieces she would eat, if she had some teeth to chew.
But instead she laughs at dad as he tries to scare her...BOO!
Happy Halloween!

Blowing Bubbles

Eliza has become quite a drooler and bubble blower. Usually a picture doesn't do justice but this one comes awfully close!
