Check out Eliza's moves...with a book in hand of course. Rarely is she seen without one!

Happy News...
We found out this week that baby #2 is a........girl! Eliza showed her first little bit of understanding by spending the rest of the day saying "baby girl." We're very excited and look forward to having another sweet girl join our family!

Reading to baby...
This was too cute this morning not to record. Eliza wanted to read to her baby but first we had to sit her up and put her blanket on. Then she gave the baby a book while she read the other one. Her two favorite books right now are "pillar" (The Very Hungry Caterpillar) and "pider" (The Very Busy Spider). Both of the books are from the library...I guess it doesn't matter that we already have BOTH of these books at home!

Easter Weekend
We spent a couple of days at Lake Cocollala before Easter Sunday with Dean, Sarah, and girls.
We colored Easter Eggs...
Eliza had a good time putting stickers on her egg!
This girl cannot get enough of her Daddy...
The cousins and their final product!
Eliza had good teachers to show her the ropes of Easter egg hunting on Saturday morning. Myanna, Alissa, and Bella were so patient letting her find eggs. Eliza seemed most concerned about what was in them!
Sunday morning we were home to find the Easter bunny had visited us there too! Eliza was thrilled to see more candy in her basket and a couple of Easter books.
Eliza in action...this was when the eggs were hidden so that she could "easily" find them. Now when she plays "eggies" with Daddy no longer are they in obvious spots...she's up for a challenge!

Happy News!
We've decided it's about time we share our news...Eliza is going to be a big sister!
This is the last ultrasound we had done...I feel like it's a pretty good one if I can differentiate body parts on my own! I'm almost 15 weeks so our due date is September 19th! Eliza will be 2 years +1 month when the new addition comes. We can already tell she will be taking her role as big sister seriously!

Spring cleaning surprise...
I was attempting some Spring cleaning today in our room that we just throw stuff in...oh, I guess it's called a spare room. We have a bunch of Eliza's baby things in there too like her swing, etc.
I left the room to go put something away and came back and found this. She had positioned her baby and herself in her vibrating chair and was reading a book. Notice her feet are touching the ground even though she's laying in it. Nothing stops this girl!

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home...
The happy moment comes when Eliza hears the garage door opening...then daddy comes through the door, big smiles follow, then some "huggies," and usually the tickling war begins!
It's the highlight of Eliza's day (and I should say mine too) when Daddy comes home. Eliza lives up those few hours before bedtime reading books and playing with Daddy. We love our Daddy!
On a rainy day...
Eliza knows what to do on a cold, rainy day. She finds a comfy place to sit, snuggles up in a soft blanket, and grabs a good book to read. Perfect!
When I was teaching I always told my students that on a rainy day you would most likely be able to find Mrs. Moody on the couch, under a blanket, reading a book. So I can't imagine where Eliza ever would have come up with this idea? Monkey see, monkey do!

New doings...
It seems the faster that Eliza grows up the faster she is learning things...it's becoming a daily occurrence. Something that she has recently discovered is pockets. She has some pants and shirts with little pockets just big enough to put her hands in them. (We're still wondering why little kid's clothes have pockets but at least she uses them!)
Eliza is also to the point where she is mimicking almost every word she hears. But for some reason she will not say I love you. Darran has been trying very hard to get her to say it but right now whenever we say I love you her response is to blow a kiss...which is pretty darn cute.
Such a big girl...

Do a little dance...
While this is not Eliza's best display of dance moves we still thought it was pretty funny. She's got quite the rhythm.
