Trip to Portland!
We took a weekend to visit Portland. Dallin and Cassie have moved there for the summer for Dallin's internship with Intel. So we decided to visit them and the zoo! It was forecast to rain but it didn't until we left the zoo! Talk about luck!

Elephants! This was the animal Eliza was most looking forward to seeing. And that's the best picture we have...those darn snacks are hard to beat sometimes!
The animals put on quite the show for us...here's the lion in all his glory.
And the rhino...
...and hippos. Who ever gets to see hippos on the move?
Talia had a good time...she just had to sneak in a couple cat naps.

And of course bears...they were fun to watch all running around.
After the zoo we went back to our hotel for a little swim. It was Talia's first time...once she got used to the water there was no stopping her splashes!
And Eliza is always good for a swim. After swimming we had dinner and then it was time for bed.
One fun day = very tired girls. This was about 15 seconds after laying down. (I know, I know...still has a pacifier. We're working on it!)
Ahhh...the sweet baby asleep.

Cinderella
My little Cinderella.

Happy Mother's Day!
Mother's Day was wonderful! We had a very yummy breakfast and then I opened a few gifts. (Sorry this picture is kind of blurry.)
My girls (and husband) were so sweet and gave me exactly what I asked for! Church was nice...Darran had to speak so it was fun to hear him honor his mother and the women in his life. 
After church we had dinner with both of our moms (and dads) and Dallin and Cassie. We enjoyed visiting and playing with the girls. And though I'm not thrilled by the fact that all our pictures from that day are of me in my pajamas I have to be honest...that's what I wear 90% of the time.I'm so grateful to a wonderful family that makes me feel so appreciated. I love being a mom to these two amazing girls. Thank you for making me feel so blessed. And of course a special thank you to my own mom and mother-in-law. I have no doubt they have made us who we are today. Happy Mother's Day!

Trip to Utah...
Me and the girls drove down to Utah with Grandpa and Grandma this past week to help Elayna find a wedding dress...amongst other things. Eliza is obsessed with princesses right now. So when I was packing the day before we left and got out my veil to see if Elayna would possibly use it, of course my princess loving daughter wanted to wear it.
She's pretty darn cute!
My picture taking during this trip is pathetic but there are a few. Those of you who know my child know that she does not sleep in the car. So when she actually feel asleep I HAD to have pictures of that!
It must have been too bright in the car or something because she did this herself!
Between dress shopping and Dallin and Cassie packing we went to the Bean museum for a bit. Eliza ran around the place but thought it was quite neat.
Her favorite part though might have been when she found Jimmer. Daddy had told her to look for him so she was excited to see him standing in the gift shop!

Happy Easter!
We had a great Easter Sunday!
Needless to say Eliza was a little bit excited! The Easter bunny brought her lots of candy!
This is what Talia did while Eliza hunted for eggs. Good thing it was mom and dad's basket and not big sister's!

Saturday was actually a beautiful Spring day...so we did some "springy" things.
Darran got the garden planted...with help from Eliza.
And we decorated Easter eggs. Eliza just enjoyed seeing the eggs turn color...she was fine with simplistic decorating (as were we)!

First trip to the dentist...
Eliza had her first official visit to the dentist this morning. She did an amazing job of sitting patiently watching mom take her turn. (I won't lie...the fact that she was watching Dora the whole time helped immensely!)
Then it was her turn! 
She did so well opening her mouth and letting them clean away! The dentist said her teeth look great! When we talked with Daddy on the phone afterwards she said the "girls were nice but the boy wasn't." I'm not really sure why she thought that since the hygienists did much more to her than the dentist! I'm just grateful it was a positive experience. Yeah for healthy, clean teeth!
