Sunday, February 10th
When we were in Disney World we knew that it was snowing at home on Friday...however, we did not realize the snow storm that would soon take over the state of Washington. It made it difficult for us to get home. We left Orlando on Saturday and made it to Minneapolis. While waiting to get off the plane we see that our flight to Pasco is canceled. Luckily, we found a flight to Spokane that actually had room for all of us. So we arrived in Spokane late that night, decided to stay in a hotel right near the airport since we were so tired, and then rented a car to drive home the next day on Sunday. The closer we got to home the more snow we found. On Saturday it had been a blizzard! Tons of snow and wind so there were huge snow drifts! We met Papa at the airport to return the rental car and for him to take us home. We were shocked by how difficult it was to get around! We have amazing neighbors...the Francis'...who knew we were coming home that day and shoveled a path for us to pull the car into the garage. Thus began the Tri-City Snowmaggedon!
The sunshine was a welcome treat! Our street did not get plowed for a few days. But we had an amazing neighbor who rode around on his 4wheeler with a shovel in front for days on end!
Karisa shoveling along side daddy as best she can.
