Just like Daddy...

I was looking for a baby picture of Darran today and came across this...and remembered that there is a very identical picture of Eliza doing the same thing! Papa does this trick with all the grandkids (which apparently started with his own kids). I was warned he would do it with Eliza and he certainly did the first time he met her in Baltimore...she was about 6 months old. I just wish we got his face in the picture with Eliza...because I'm sure his smile is just as big this many years later!

Fun with friends!

We got to spend the weekend with the Price family having fun in the sun! Eliza sure did love having Bailey and Mason with her all weekend!
She would play in the sand and water then entire day if we let her...those darn naps always get in the way! (But they make for a happy baby!)
Toby and Bailey trying out the kayak.
Mommy even took Eliza out for a ride! Thanks for a fun weekend Prices! We'll have to do it again!

On the move...

Eliza has decided it's time to walk. She's getting braver and letting go of things but still doesn't like the whole falling part that comes along with it. This is just a quick video to show off her moves...and a high five for uncle Dallin!

Playing some Wii...

Daddy and Eliza got some Wii playing in this morning before getting ready for church.
Apparently she did a good job!

Some more boating...

Yesterday we spent the afternoon on the Snake River. Eliza could be found crawling around the sand, trying to get as deep as she could in the water, riding along in the boat, getting mad at us for not letting her put sand in her mouth, or eating her fair share of watermelon.
After no nap and an afternoon in the sun this was Eliza about 30 seconds into our card ride home! It was a picture worthy moment since Eliza and sleeping in the car usually don't mix!

Benton County Fair!

We went to the Fair on Wednesday night and showed Eliza all the animals. She seemed pretty intrigued and was even willing to pet the rabbits.
After seeing the animals we stopped for some dinner and then headed to the rodeo.
Eliza was hilarious watching all the horses and cowboys. The video doesn't even do justice...the first time the horses came out I thought she was going to jump right out of Darran's arms. Her reaction is pretty funny...you don't know if she's excited or upset!
No trip to the fair would be complete without a yummy, greasy dessert. After the rodeo we got a funnel cake and headed home. Fun family night at the fair!

Happy Birthday Eliza!

Time sure does fly! We celebrated Eliza's birthday this weekend...she turned 1 on Sunday! Her first try at cake was mostly spent examining her hands and licking off the frosting...
...but try number two was a little more successful!
She enjoyed opening her presents...in fact she loves snuggling with her new Clifford dog.
And she was just shocked to have been given a cell phone at such a young age!
But it didn't take long to start texting all those friends! Thank you Grandpa, Grandma, Dallin, and Elayna! We love you!
Eliza showed off her ballet moves in the tutu that Kimberly, Bailey and Mason gave her! Thanks guys...she loves it!
This is Eliza with her new toys...she was a pretty happy birthday girl. Especially when we would sing happy birthday to her! Check out her moves with her new walker toy!

Flower girl!

Daddy's little girl...loves the flowers and vegetables!

Boating in the blood...

Eliza loves the boat...she even puts up with wearing her lifejacket!
She especially loves when Grandpa lets her drive!
The Grandparents enjoying visiting.

Fruits (and veggies) of his labor...

Darran has been very dedicated to our garden this summer. (I don't even think I should say our garden since he does all the work...I just eat it all.) He's holding some of the beautiful flowers that have grown...purple is our specialty. We've also enjoyed onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Peppers and watermelon are on their way. Eliza and I are proud of our green thumbed daddy!

Summertime...

Hot weather = shirtless babies eating watermelon...
tubing on the lake...
and driving grandpa's boat.
Ahhhh, we love summer!

Happy Birthday Nana!

It sure is good to have Nana and Papa home because then we can do things together again...like celebrate Nana's birthday! Which we did complete with pizza and cake...
...not to mention an amazing game of Wii bowling. Nana rocked the game! She had 7 strikes...is that like a turkey times three or something? But she said, (quote) "I have no idea what I'm doing!" Well, keep it up Nana because that was impressive!! We love you!
