Moody Family Reunion

Over the Easter weekend we had a Moody family reunion in Herriman, Utah. We ALL stayed in a house together and had a wonderful time! Utah's crazy weather made us change our plans a little bit when we arrived on Friday. We headed to Jump on it! and really had fun.Eliza and Ryan trying to move around in the pit.Mommy and Talia jumping on the trampolines.Eliza and Bella sliding down the blow up. It's hard to say who had more fun...the kids or the adults! That night after dinner we had a Moody family talent show. (We have video of everyone's talent but I haven't gone through them yet so sorry if you're family's picture isn't in here!)
The Sidwars put on a great rendition of Star Wars for us!Dustin and Alanna's boys sang a great song giving us Moody history!Derek entertained us with his famous magic act...I still can't figure out why it's so funny every time he does it. Some things never get old!Dean and Sarah's girls serenaded us with a pretty song.Dallan and April's boys quizzed us on what they've been up to.Chris and Missy's family put on a synchronized swimming act!Saturday morning, after a yummy breakfast, we all headed to the park to play games. The cousins racing.Mommy, Eliza and Talia in the jumping race. We played relays, Duck, duck, goose, kickball and more. It was fun to be playing outside with everyone!

Easter at the reunion...

The Easter bunny brought all of the cousins Easter baskets!Talia and Eliza checking out their baskets. The cousins decorated eggs.Talia wasn't quite sure what to think.Later the cousins all went on an egg hunt.Eliza made a find!Talia even got the hang of it!Showing off her eggs.It was hard to get Talia to look at the camera...her eggs were much more interesting.Talia and Eliza showing us their eggs while watching the big cousins do their hunt. And here we all are...family pictures before church. Even Grandmother Moody got to spend the day with us. It was a pretty special Easter. The extended Moody Family. The Moody grandchildren. The Moody siblings.
Papa, Grandmother Moody, and Nana.A "wink" for Caleb!A small portion of the Moody family! And this about sums it up...we played all weekend and didn't sleep much so a few minutes in a chair was all it took! We love everyone so much! Thank you for a wonderful weekend full of memories!

A little bit of Talia...

I would imagine most moms catch themselves thinking a little bit of quiet would be nice. And yet there are those moments when you realize it is REALLY quiet...something must be wrong! I had one of those moments yesterday. It became eerily quiet. I went upstairs and found this on my bedroom floor. Ok...not a big deal. And I did have to laugh...I'm obviously a mother of girls because in my makeup bag there are lots of girl hair bands, bows, and band aids...interesting.But because I had not found the culprit I continued the search...and found her diligently cleaning the toilet! I would much rather find her doing it like this then with her own hands in the water! What a helper!Later that night we had Oreos for our FHE treat. Here's the big girl herself dipping cookies in milk. What older sister does is gospel...and so it must be copied!

Conference watching...

We made our way up to Cocolalla for Conference weekend. It had been way too long since we'd been there! We watched General Conference while it rained and snowed outside. Here are the two sisters "watching" together!

Nursery time!

Our Tal Tal went to nursery today for the first time with success! She came home pretty tired but seemed to enjoyed herself.I have to laugh because if you look closely she has a little self-induced scratch by her eye. She has officially entered that constant injury phase...you know, where the corners of the kitchen table are slightly above her line of site yet in the perfect place to leave welts on her forehead. I should take another picture of my black eye from this little one...it's only gotten uglier and uglier. Poor Darran has been asked numerous times how exactly it is I have a black eye. I think he's looking forward to it being gone as much as I am!

Black eye...

This book...and this "innocent" face......caused this black eye.

18 months old!

Talia turned a year and a half on Tuesday! Her new favorite thing to do is color. Apparently she's going to be our lefty!
Nursery here we come!

Petting zoo...

Last Saturday a local store had a "petting zoo" so we made our way over for the girls to see some animals. They loved watching all the baby chicks and ducks. Eliza even got brave enough to hold a chick. She thought it was hilarious how their feet tickled her hands!Talia trying to decide if she wants to pet the bunny.Getting up close to the "neigh"...that's what Talia calls a horse.Eliza found it quite funny that these goats wanted to lay all over each other and sleep! While Talia just laughed as she touched them.

Basketball watching princess...

The other night while Darran was gone and I was getting Eliza ready for bed she asked if she could watch some basketball. She's no stranger to basketball games being on in our house, especially in the month of March, but I thought it was cute she would ask even when Darran wasn't home. She had just gotten out of the bath and I needed to come her hair so I went ahead and found a game to watch. This was our conversation...

Eliza: "Which team do we like mom? The red or the white?"
Me: "Um...I guess you can just choose one. I think daddy likes the red one."
Eliza: "Is Abuo on this team?"
Me: "No, BYU isn't playing tonight."
Eliza: "Is Jimmer on this team."
Me: "No, he plays for the Kings."

(At this point I'm reminding myself she is 3 years old!) She sits and watches for a couple of minutes then decides we need to play a board game. I tell her I'll turn the TV off since we're not watching but she says she wants it on so we can watch while were playing the game. A few minutes later she runs into the kitchen to get a drink and as she's leaving the room says to me..."Mom, tell me if the guy does something and he's a hero ok?" By this time I can't help but crack up! Who is this 3 year old and how has she been so indoctrinated by sports already...especially BYU sports? Oh brother...like I don't know the answer to that!

The next night I was gone and Darran was home with the girls. He asked Eliza if she wanted to watch basketball with him like she did with mom. Her reply was "No thanks Dad. We couldn't find Abuo and Jimmer playing. Let's watch something different." And so they watched Mulan. From princess to sports enthusiast. At least we can say she enjoys a variety of things!

Princess sisters...

I found these two sisters in their princess dresses "getting ready."
While I have to be one of the least interested people in make up and other girly things like that...I am somehow raising two girls who can't seem to get enough of it.At least they are enjoying being princesses together.
And I think they are two of the most beautiful princesses ever...make up or not.

Good morning Talia!

Talk about your bed head!I should have taken the picture somewhere else so you can really get the full effect...the couch behind her is a little dark. And of course the fingers have to be in her mouth. Just a funny note...she pulls up her pajama sleeves herself. Apparently she's a little warm in the mornings!
